In a 4-1 vote the West Wendover City Council overrode Mayor Donnie Andersen veto and appointed Michelle Giovo the new Chief Financial Officer of West Wendover.

I can’t believe that people still vote for the city council. They acknowledge that they are not hiring the most qualified candidate after spending $24,000 (Which is excessive) to a head hunter firm to find someone local. It shows their incompetence and their willingness to throw away public funds in favor of a less qualified candidate. Is this a breech of the EEOC? Quite possibly could be.
Once again, Wendover City Council rises to the occasion and accepts ineptness and cronyism as the standard operating procedure.
My questions is who is Michelle Giovo related to on the council?
I’m glad this is over. She’ll do a good job. Now can we go on with life?
Michelle has been i this city for Over 16 Years, active in all aspect of the community. when even the headhunters hires to find someone for the position of CFO was ify on the hiring of the person recommended by Anderson why would you hire them, would you hire someone with Questionable credit to run your city finances. look into the education and background of the one your questioning, she is a good strong choice for this city and will be here a long time after the other person would have quit and she cares for the community.

People are settling for less instead of fighting for whats right. and as said in the movie Braveheart “Dying in your beds many years from now, would you give all the days from here to then for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell them that they may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!” If you dont fight for it, theyre going to continue to take it away.
