A Utah tourist got lucky in Wendover, unfortunately for him all of it was bad.
Larry Delacerna, 44, of Ogden was booked into the Elko County Jail on several felony charges that began with a shouting match with his girlfriend.
According to police reports the shouts got physical and Delacerna tried unsuccessfully to put his girlfriend into a choke hold. The woman escaped the hold and passerby’s called the police dispatch.
Delacerna attempted to drive off in his car but in the getaway struck three other vehicles in the parking lot.
Police located the man still in his car and Delacerna attempted to flee on foot. That didn’t work out so well either. When the Ogden man refused to stop a tooele county Deputy tasered him and he was quickly taken into custody. Charged with three felonies including, Domestic violence, Hit and Run and Obstructing a police Officer Delacerna’s bail was set at $16,400.
