The Tina Baer Benefit ride from Ely to Wendover Saturday drew 25 bikers and several cars in what was described as a smashing success.
The 120 mile run was hosted by The Twisted Jacks Social Club. In a related development the 40 year old Wendover Run by Salt Lake Harley Davidson was cancelled this year after the motor cycle club and Wendover casinos could not agree on a day for the rally.
“Talked to the organizers in Salt Lake City, they told me that they wanted the event on Saturday, so the event was a better fit in Salt Lake.” Wendover, Utah Mayor Mike Crawford wrote on his facebook page. “In all fairness to the casino’s they donate alot of money and other stuff for the ride. Its just sad that the Harley people choose to stop coming!”
