Yes Luis Perez and Frank Sanchez acted like a couple of school boys that night last Autumn.
But were it not for a love of the game, a love of children and a devotion to sport neither of them would have been there.
We have known and admired both men for a very long time.
We never had a qualm about entrusting our sons to their care or their guidance and we would do so again in a heartbeat.
We won’t be able to.
More than any other punishment meted out by the court, that life time ban from coaching is surely the worst.
And it should be enough, more than enough.
Neither man should have to pay more for those few minutes of stupidity.
There should be no criminal black mark on their records.
Our kids weren’t traumatized, the world did not end and everyone went home perhaps a bit shaken but not stirred over much.
So please dear judge, judge those two with mercy and compassion and not too harshly.
Speaking of judgement the case of Angela Hill is over at least in the state of Nevada.
She got off easy and it likes like she will get off easy in Utah. Hopefully that kind of easy will still mean more than a couple of decades behind bars. We want her to be well on the way to old age when she breathes free air again.
If she truly is a victim of a mind controlling evil man, we don’t want her out to fall under another evil man’s control. If she is instead a very bad person who has played her little girl tears into lesser punishments 20 years on her face should render her less an object of sympathy and more of one of pity.
Either way the problem of Angela Hill will be solved.
If she gets less time, say out in ten or less we have no doubt, she will be in the news again.
