For the first time in history both Wendover, Utah and West Wendover, Nevada high school are the favorites to win their respective state crowns in men’s basketball.
The 17-2 Wildcats are sitting atop the 1A Region 18 with just one game to go before heading on to the Utah State Championships February 27. Across town and across the border, the 15-1 Wolverines are the number one seed in for the Nevada crown having drawn Battle Mountain in the preliminary game February 24.
In addition the WHS Lady cats hold the number 2 spot, second to the defending State Champs, St. Josephs High School.
