A blood drive organized by Wendover City Council Karen Shepherd exceeded all expectations with some 37 volunteers donating over 40 pints of blood.
“Well, Wendover you did it!! Red Cross had a blast out here and can’t wait to come back.” Shepherd wrote in a Facebook post. “I have to give very special thank you to my helpers! Veronica, Landyn, Ty, Mayra and Banenza! And thank you to Wells Rural Electric, Newmont, Peppermill, Rainbow and Montego Bay, Wendover Nugget and Wendover Utah for their generous donations! Thank you all!! We had 37 donors and 7 of those were double red!”
The drive was administered by the American Red Cross and held Monday at the Wendover Community Building.
Seems like you guys had an awesome time! Even better that it was for a good cause. 40+ pints of blood is nothing to sneeze at, especially when each pint can save three lives. Good going!
