The cadets from the Wendover Civil Air Patrol Squadron completed two community service projects during the past week. On Saturday, cadets helped a local teacher build a retaining wall on his property. Pictured is Cadet Technical Sergeant Ricardo De Jesus manning a shovel. He was also the cadet supervisor of the project. Other members of the group moved the concrete blocks, filled them with earth, and than helped back fill the completed wall. On Wednesday, another teacher needed assistance moving from her apartment. She asked the Squadron for help, the project was approved, and the removal of her personal belongings was accomplished. The cadets will complete more than 400 hours of community service during 2014. Every project must be approved by Squadron leaders but the cadets are very willing to assist when asked.
