An Oregon man was booked into the Elko county Jail by the Nevada Highway Patrol for running a stop sign in Wendover, Saturday.

According to police reports James Bluhm of Umahu, Oregon was booked into the Elko County Jail Saturday night after running the stop sign at the US-93A junction with West Wendover Boulevard. There were no other charges listed on the report.

“It isn’t that we have become really strict it is just that Mr. Bluhm had several non-extraditable warrants for non payment of judgments from Washington and Idaho,” explained NHP Press Officer Trooper Jim Stewart. “We run into this from time to time and our policy is that if he or she has a record of not paying their fines from another jurisdiction they go to jail until the pay the ticket we issue.”
