Boys soccer went untouched against Whittell 10-0 on Friday. On Saturday, they had a 4-4 tie against Yerington. They play their first home games of the season against Incline and North Tahoe. Games will be at 6:00 pm Friday and 2:00 pm Saturday on the Wolverine football Field. Girls soccer got beat by the defending state champs Whittell on Friday. They picked up an 8-0 win against Yerington on Saturday. Girls soccer also plays at home against Incline and North Tahoe. Games will be Friday at 4:00 pm and 12:00 pm Saturday on the Wolverine football field.
Volleyball Varsity beat Jackpot at home Wednesday 3-0, and JV won with 2-0. Volleyball took on the Utah side in West Wendover winning 3-0 for a non-conference game, and had two home games earlier this past week.. JV lost both of their games against wells and Battle mountain. Varsity beat battle mountain on Friday with 3-0 to pick up their first league win. Volleyball has two home games this week and two games on the road. They will travel on Friday and Saturday to Lovelock and Silver Stage.
Football traveled to Yerington for another league game. The JV lost but have some things they can work on and get better at. Varsity put up one of the best offensive performances they have had in a few years. They scored 32 points against the defending state champs. They had the lead at 32-31 with about 9 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, but could not complete the upset losing 58-32. They will travel to Altamont to play Friday at 5:00 pm looking to pick up their first win of the season. JV will be at home on Thursday against Spring Creek freshmen at 5:00 pm.
Cross country took last week off to prepare for their season. They run in Idaho on Thursday.
