West Wendover students will perform the schools first play in over ten years in front of public December third.
The play the “Jolly Roger” was written by Wayne Mitchell, Shane Mitchelland Erin Dagan.
“For years, our cowardly hero, Captain Cleverly, has evaded capture by the dreaded pirate Jolly Roger by sailing directly behind him. But now, the King of the Pirates has found Cleverly and is coming aboard his ship! He brings with him gifts of treasure for Lady Loveaduck, his bride-to-be. He also brings his adopted daughter, Annabelle!” Say the authors in a synopsis. “The poor orphan girl fell into the hands of pirates as an infant and possesses only a golden pinkie ring as a clue to her true parents. She has her eye on Captain Cleverly, while Margaret, Lady Loveaduck’s maid, has caught the eye of first mate, Nate. Goofy mistaken identities, a ridiculous chase scene and a surprise ending will have your audiences wiping tears of laughter from their eyes!”
