The West Wendover Wolverine basketball teams had a victorious past week with eight out of the ten games being wins for the boys’ and girls’ varsity. On Thursday, December 3, the boys’ varsity beat Capital Christian High School with a score of 53-40, then on the same day beat Spring Creek in a very close game of 40-39. The next day, the team beat Fernley in another close game of 49-47. On that same day they had lost their only game so far against Boulder City, with a score of 36-47. The next day they sprang right up, beating Lincoln County with a great score of 50-28. They have a game this Thursday, December 10 against Rail City Classic in Sparks.
The girls’ varsity team had a similar week, winning four out of their five games. Last Thursday, they had beat Lake Mead Academy with a score of 45-10, then Calvary Christian that same day with with a score of 34-15. The next day, they rode over Foothill Christian High School, beating them with a score of 71-8. On that same day, however, they had lost their only game so far against Lincoln County with a score of 35-51. The next day they got back into winning, beating Boulder City with a score of 38-26. They were playing against Whittle High school last Thursday, December 10.
