Last Thursday, after drinking heavily, two inebriated people, a man, Glenn Braseth, 53 years old, from Lake Park, MN, and his girlfriend, began arguing while in their hotel room at the the Rainbow Casino. The local WWPD were called, and both were found with minor injuries. Glenn was eventually taken into custody for suspicion of domestic battery without incident. No medical attention was required for either person.
Friday night, a fire started in a stairwell in one of the hotel towers at the Wendover Nugget. The firemen soon discovered a burning backpack, next to a sleeping bag and pillows. Nobody could be found, but it is assumed that a transient trying to stay warm, started a fire by accident.
Saturday, four people were involved in a fight at the Red Garter Casino’s Hotel. Two men, Sheldon Shepard 22 and Everett Chee 25, both from Yuma City AZ, had an argument with a third man, started fighting with him, and strucked him over the head with a bottle. His injuries required him to be transported to a Salt Lake City hospital for treatment. Both Sheldon and Everett were taken into custody for battery, the first one battery with a weapon and the second one, battery but without a weapon.
Also same night at the Peppermill Casino, a 31 year old man, Jacob Iosefa, of Casper WY, punched a security guard, left the premises with his possible girlfriend, and started driving east on I-80 until a highway patrol, who had their vehicle description, stoped him11 miles out of town. The woman was arrested for driving drunk, while Jacob was arrested for battery.
Finaly, Sunday night, a different man by the name of Chad Jacobs, 40 years old, inebriated and aggressif started a fight with other customers a the Rainbow Casino, and got himself hurt. Then Chad spit at an officer, in the face, while that officer was asking questions about the earlier fighting. He was taken into custody, and charges on the other man that had originally struck Chad are being reviewed.
