Wendover and Elko Combined Police forces with Detectives from the Elko Combined Narcotics Unit and Nevada Division of Investigation, arrested two Utah men Guadalupe Sierra and Vetekina Maile, who sold methamphetamine to undercover officers in separate investigations.
ECNU(Elko Combined Narcotic Unit) with assistance from the West Wendover and Elko police departments and the Elko County Sheriff’s Office, conducted several undercover operations in West Wendover Thursday, Friday and Saturday, said LT. Don Leninger.
“The undercover operations targeted individuals selling controlled substances in the various casinos in West Wendover” said ECNU in a statement.
Vetekina Maile, 37, of Sandy was arrested at the Red Garter Hotel and Casino Friday March 4th, on one count of sales of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. His bail was listed at $20,000. Guadalupe Sierra, 22, of Murray was arrested at the Montego Bay Resort, same Friday on one count of sales of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. And his bail was set at $20,000 also. “Both men were scooped up and transfered to Elko”said LT. Don Leninger.
