BAKER, NV – Great Basin National Park is initiating two construction projects beginning spring of 2016. An accessibility ramp is being constructed at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center which will block a portion of the parking lot during construction. On busy weekends parking may be limited, so carpool if possible. The project is expected to be completed by early summer.
Upper Lehman Creek Campground will be closed for construction for the entire summer season. Improvements to the water system, campsites and campground roads will be made to fix the failing infrastructure within the campground. Water system improvements will impact the Lower Lehman Creek Campground. Water for Lower Lehman will only be available at the Lehman Caves Visitor Center. Remember to plan ahead and bring in your water.
