Jaxon Carter at Dicus,
Jaxon Carter, at Discus, took Silver/second with a 120-foot-9-inch throw.

Last week on April 9th 2016 one of our own students from West Wendover Jr Sr High school placed 2nd in an event from track. Jaxon Carter received a silver medal for discus with a throw of 120 feet and 9 inches. Before making it to finals Jaxon was having some difficulty getting his spin down but he soon came back with his third and last throw placing him 6th out of the ten top students who would compete in finals. Towards the end of the event it was a close finish to see who would be placed in the top three due to two of the three competitors all being on the 120 feet line mark. But Jaxon’s throw was far enough to place him second out of all the male discus throwers. By Nancy Luna
