An Elko man is being held on suspicion of sexual assault and burglary after allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old girl. Elko PD says 28-year-old Efren Del Angel-Flores was identified by the victim as the man who came into a West Fir residence where she was alone and forced her into a back bedroom where she described being sexually assaulted. The suspect is accused of fleeing the scene when the victim’s mother came home. The victim was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect vehicle. A Lostra Brothers Towing and Wreck Recovery Service’s driver noticed that the vehicle was traveling toward Spring Creek. The driver continued to follow it until authorities arrived at the scene. Del Angel Flores was taken into custody after a traffic stop on Lamoille Highway and booked on two felony counts with bail at 270 thousand dollars. The incident is still under investigation, said Lt. Genseal.
