Sunday, June 26th, an Elko officer stopped a car for speeding, and found drugs in the possession of three men and a woman inside: Nelson Houck (25) from Bountiful, the driver Chandler Evans (18), from South Jordan, and Jessica Briana Pacheco (24), from Clearfield, the three from Utah, also Daniel Stockton from South Carolina,(20), were arrested for drug possession, possesion with intent to sell in a school area, and also using drugs, Evans Bail was at $20,955, Houck at $20,715, and Stockton at$25,640, for also Prescription drugs.
This past Tuesday, June 28th, Alycia Hegy 26, of Elko Nevada, was arrested on Possession(drugs) charges, conspiracy of grand larceny, and grand larceny itself. Her bail is at $15,000. While Monday, June 27th, a 31 years old man, Enrique Hernandez from West Valley Utah, was arrested for trying to pass fake checks, and notes, and also for burglary. His bail is at total of $37,500. Also on Monday, Jason Malachi, 22 years old, from Elko, was arrested at the Red Lion parking lot for possession of Stolen property for more than $3,500. so his bail was at $20, 000.
Last Thursday, June 23rd, officers responded to a vehicle’s burglary at the Montego Bay parking lot. The owner of the vehicle reported a black coat along with two firearms and ammunition missing from his vehicle. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and gathered a description of the suspect.
Andrew Carson was identified at the Red Garter casino on a separate incident. Andrew was in possession of ammunition and a black jacket. During interviews the officers were able to ascertain Andrew was the suspect observed on video surveillance entering the victims vehicle. With information provided by Andrew the officers were able to recover both firearms and ammunition.
Andrew also had a warrant issued for his arrest from Lyon county Nevada. Andrew was taken into custody without incident.
Luis Hernandez 40, West Wendover Nevada, Domestic violence
The same day, WWPD officers responded to a domestic disturbance for Luis and his wife. Through witnesses the officers learned that Luis had struck his wife during an argument. Minor injuries were reported, and no medical attention was required. Luis was taken into custody without incident.
On June 22, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Refugio Rivera and a passenger as Jose Diego Rodriguez. The officer soon learned that Refugio did not have a valid driver’s license and the license plates on the vehicle were fictitious. When the officer looked up the VIN number of the vehicle he learned the vehicle was listed as stolen from Elko Nevada. Both Refugio and Jose were taken into custody. A K9 unit was called to the scene which resulted in several items of drug paraphernalia being located along with open containers of alcohol. Charges of possession of the paraphernalia and open containers were added to each.
