The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ely District is now asking for the public comment, you, on a proposal to sell three parcels of public land totaling 165.92 acres located near Hiko and Alamo. The 45-day comment period would end December 5th, 2016.
The proposed sale would be by sealed-bid and oral public auction. Bidding would begin at appraised Fair Market Value, says the BLM.
If, after reviewing the comments, the BLM decide to continue with the sale, sealed bids would be accepted from December 29, 2016, through January 6, 2017. An oral public auction would be held at the Caliente Railroad Depot. The parcels are not easy to reconize on the map on their website,
but they are all in the same vicinity, not to far from each other, but still very fragmented. They are all near Hiko or north of Alamo. Here we combined three “Area Locator”, showing in fact only two areas. And we combined two maps showing parcel N-89322 (wide and skinny) and N-89336 square except for a piece.
