Last Monday night, October 31st, outside of Wendover Utah, the local PD, an helicopter and SWAT teams went on a manhunt .
The Police had discovered two cars parked at the mile marker 22, on I-80. In one of those cars they found three passengers, two men and a woman.
Sgt. Todd Royce said that upon investigation the police learned that one man was supposed to be deported and the woman had a warrant. The second man had run into the desert, trying to escape the officers.
According to Sgt. Royce, an helicopter searched the area, but didn’t locate the second man. Around 11:00 a.m., finaly the police located that man near the milepost 18.
The man in question told police he had a gun and was leaving. But a SWAT team, with ballistic shields, and multiple officers used “less than lethal” force to detain the man.
The investigation continues.
