An Elko man suspected of exposing himself to a teen girl and sending her threatening messages was arrested on Friday.
James Eugene Allen, 26, was arrested by Elko County Sheriff’s deputies Dec. 15 at the Elko County Jail on one count of indecent or obscene exposure in the presence of a child or vulnerable person, a Category D felony, and three counts of unlawful contact with a child under 16 years of age, a gross misdemeanor.
Court documents said that Allen committed the offenses between June 9 and July 2. The teen told investigators the defendant exposed his genitals to her and that she received “terrorizing, frightening, intimidating or harassing electronic messages” and also “had physical contact” from the defendant, according to the criminal complaint filed in Elko Justice Court.
A warrant for Allen’s arrest was issued Nov. 29 by the Elko County District Attorney’s office.
