If not completed, it would be terms for Action including termination.

Mackenzie asked why the finance department was involved.

Stork answered the question. Because finances in charge of Grants and there is a $60,000 Grant affected by this.

This ordinance is being put into effect with the thought of the marijuana growers doing business in the county, this does affect everyone doing business in the county.

5/0 Approval

Discussion/First Reading- an ordinance 484, bill # 02. 1 4. 2018a, and ordinance amending chapter 11, section 16 to regulate parking in certain areas at the McGill pool.

This ordinance would provide a parking place for emergency vehicles. This parking place will be marked with a White Cross.

Discussion/First Reading  of Ordinance 485, Bill # 0 2. 1 4. 2018 B, and ordinance amending chapter 2, Section 54 to vest authority to provide Emergency Medical Services in White Pine County Fire District contigenr upon the existence of an interlocal agreement between White Pine County and White Pine Fire District.

This is a local agreement to merge the EMTs and the White Pine County Fire District. This will make financing much easier.

Discussion/First Reading  of ordinance 486, Bill # 0 2. 1 4. 2018 c, an ordinance repealing and replacing ordinance number 438 regulating Ambulance Service Finances in White Pine County.

This ordinance deals with the ambulance service working events in the County such as the horse races, etc. Any entity providing these services must come before the Board of Commissioners for approval.

Discussion/Action/Possible Action approval of certification of roads with in White Pine County, Nevada, pursuit to NRS 365. 550.

Calderwood “ This has not been changed in years, but this does not mean tomorrow you can not  uncertify one road and certify another.”

5/0 Approval

Discussion/Action/Possible  Direction to the Road Supervisor and the District Attorney’s Office to research classification and/or declassification of County Roads and the related effort on State Gas tax funds.

The money we get from the State Gas Tax is to maintain, repair or Construction of a County right away. There is a rumor going around that we have to maintain yearly any road we use State Gas Tax dollars on, this is not true. The maintenance can be yearly, or every 3 years.

Stork “ We have so many people around here that are building in outside areas and have no maintained Road. If we want to grow our tax base we have to start offering some sort of service to these folks. What aggravates many of our constituents is we see roads being maintained going to Old Mines, that gets little or no traffic. I don’t know how we get from here to there, but I want to see some of these roads maintained. It’ll make an investment in our County and the people paying the taxes.”

( Thumbs up to Stork. I lived on an unmaintained Road (1/4 mile) and was snowed in for 3 days, it was very disheartening to see the snow plow go up the hill to clear the snow for the gun range. Who was going to go shoot in 4 feet of snow?)

Calderwood “The county has a list of Roads that are not used by the public very often and are on the to be maintained list”

There are two different Road types,  population Road and total miles. These are two different ways of figuring how you use the State Gas tax money.

Discussion/Action/Possible Approval  of resolution 2018 – 08, the resolution of the White Pine County Board of County Commissioners declaring that the commission is in favor of implementing the Silver State off road vehicle Trail within White Pine County

The commission had decided to have this a closed bid and would like it to be changed. After the opening of the closed  bids it would be an open bidding, with 5% increase over last bid.

The change was adopted
