Officers Alejandro Sanchez and Miguel Pantelakis travelled to the Idlewild Park in Reno Nevada on May 4th to receive a survivors award as part of the annual James D Hoff Officer Memorial event.
The award recognized these officers actions during a shooting that occurred in West Wendover Nevada in November of 2016. The officers courageous actions allowed a violent suspect to be taken into custody after a string of violent criminal activity, including being shot at by the suspect themselves.
The community should be proud of these officers as their actions displayed the courage and relentless efforts law enforcement officers take in keeping our citizens and visitors safe.
