4 Wendover Residents Arrested for Embezzlement At Family Dollar

Friday, March 1st 2019, four Wendover residents, two from West Wendover and two from Wendover Utah, were arrested by Utah Police officers for embezzelment at the Family Dollar store in town. Earlier, the Wendover Police Department started an investigation at the request of the Family Dollar corporate management who had  check their books and do their own investigation prior to talking to the police. Wendover Police gathered evidence of multiple acts of embezzlement from the Family Dollar store and arrested four employees identified as 19-year-old Luis Enrique Arias , 31-year-old Ronald Richards,  20-year-old Valentin Pedraza and 28-year-old Catherine Sharp . Wendover Police determined that the four employees were responsible for embezzling thousands of dollars from the Family Dollar store. We talked to Ken Quirk, Public Safety Director for the Wendover Police Deaprtment (acting as Chief of Police)and the Wendover Fir Department, and he said he had no further comment at the momment as it is still an active investigation case.
