    The Bureau of Land Management Ely District on Tuesday donated 65 desktop and 11 laptop computers, and related equipment to the Lincoln County School District.

Participating in the transfer and pausing for the picture were from left to right:

1) Craig Hoover, BLM rangeland management specialist; 

2) AJ Flint, BLM rangeland management specialist; 

3) John Miller, BLM outdoor recreation planner; 4) Michael Anderson, Lincoln County School District Maintenance Director; 

5) Mindy Seal, BLM Bristlecone Field Manager;

6) Mark Gloeckner, Lincoln County School District Transportation Director; 

7) Derek Christensen, BLM wildlife biologist; 8) Scott Standfill, BLM Acting Assistant District Manager for Support Services; 

9) Ian Collier, BLM rangeland management technician, and 

10) Stacy Holt, BLM environmental protection specialist

     The donation was made possible through the Computers for Learning program (CFL), which encourages agencies, to the extent permitted by law, to transfer computers and related peripheral equipment excess to their needs directly to schools and some educational nonprofit organizations.  The CFL program specifically matches the computer needs of schools and educational nonprofit organizations with excess equipment in federal agencies. 

    The CFL program’s goal is to make modern computer technology an integral part of every classroom so that every child has the opportunity to be educated to his or her full potential.  To learn more about the CFL program go to http://computersforlearning.gov/
