Softball Game 1: West Wendover Wolverines Varsity vs Silver Stage Friday

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 18-1 loss to Silver Stage on Friday. Silver Stage took the lead on a home run in the first inning.The West Wendover Wolverines Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Silver Stage, giving up 18 runs.Silver Stage opened up scoring in the first inning. #13 drove in two when she homered.  Silver Stage scored eight runs in the second inning. Silver Stage batters contributing to the big inning included #3, #24, #11, #13, #22, and #2, who each had RBIs in the inning. #11 got the start for Silver Stage. She surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out six and walking zero.  Natasha Quintero led things off on the rubber for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity. She surrendered 18 runs on 12 hits over four innings, striking out three. Silver Stage hit two home runs on the day. #13 went yard in the first inning. #2 went for the long ball in the second inning.  Elizabeth DiSpirito led West Wendover Wolverines Varsity with two hits in two at bats.  Silver Stage racked up 12 hits in the game. #13, #11, and #2 each racked up multiple hits for Silver Stage. Silver Stage didn’t commit a single error in the field. #24 had the most chances in the field with six.

Softball Game 2: West Wendover Wolverines Varsity vs Silver Stage Saturday

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-1 loss to Silver Stage on Saturday. Silver Stage scored on an error, a single by #13, an error, and an error in the first inning.  The West Wendover Wolverines Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Silver Stage, giving up 14 runs.  Silver Stage fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Silver Stage.  Silver Stage scored six runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Silver Stage was led by #1, #11, #22, and #2, who each had RBIs in the inning.  #11 led things off on the rubber for Silver Stage. She allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six.  Lizandra Ramirez was on the rubber for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and 14 runs while striking out six.  Hannah Holm led West Wendover Wolverines Varsity with one hit in two at bats.  Silver Stage had seven hits in the game. #22 and #2 each collected multiple hits for Silver Stage.

Softball Game 3: West Wendover Wolverines Varsity Takes A Tough Blow From Silver Stage

It was a tough day on Saturday for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity, who lost 17-0 to Silver Stage Damm led things off in the circle for Silver Stage. She lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.  Natasha Quintero started the game for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity. She went three innings, allowing 17 runs on 15 hits and striking out three.  Silver Stage tallied two home runs on the day. Bowman had a four bagger in the third inning. Osborn went yard in the second inning.  Silver Stage collected 15 hits on the day. Caldwell, Brannon, Bowman, Osborn, and Taylor all collected multiple hits for Silver Stage. Silver Stage was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Taylor had the most chances in the field with four.
