On Monday, October 5th, 2020, Elko County is reporting twenty-four new cases and seventeen recoveries over the weekend
and including Monday. Two active cases remain hospitalized.
On Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, Elko County is reporting eleven new cases and five recoveries. Two active cases remain hospitalized
Elko County has partnered with Medallus Urgent Care to provide free testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals, through the use of CARES Act funding. Medallus is conveniently open seven days a week. Individuals interested in getting a test are encouraged to call Medallus at 775-400-1510 to schedule an appointment. Test results generally take between two to four days, depending on the lab.
The breakdown of total confirmed cases is as follows:
• 1,032 confirmed cases(60 more than last week)
• 69 active cases(20 more than last week)
• 2 active cases hospitalized(1 more hospitalized, and one died Sept. 23rd)
• 953 recovered cases(40 recovered in a week)
• 10 deaths total since the beginning of the pandemic (total from the beginning of the pandemic, same as last week)
