+ 2 More Death These Past 2 Weeks

Elko County is reporting for last week:
On Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 four new cases and twelve recoveries. One active case remains hospitalized at the University of Utah.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 a ninth COVID-19 death. The individual was Spring Creek resident his 70s. Elko County was also reporting four new cases and one recovery.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 twelve new cases and four recoveries. Two active cases are currently hospitalized.
On Wednseday, Sept. 23, 2020, Elko County is reporting a tenth COVID-19 death and the seventh death related to an outbreak within the skilled nursing facility. The individual was a male in his 50s who was living at Highland Manor, but hospitalized at the time of his passing.
On Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, Elko County is reporting Elko County is reporting one new cases and seven recoveries. Two active cases remain
hospitalized.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, Elko County is reporting four new cases and seven recoveries. Two active cases remain
hospitalized.
Elko County has partnered with Medallus Urgent Care to provide free testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals, through the use of CARES Act funding. Medallus is conveniently open seven days a week. Individuals interested in getting a test are encouraged to call Medallus at 775-400-1510 to schedule an appointment. Test results generally take between two to four days, depending on the lab.
The breakdown of total confirmed cases is as follows:
• 972 confirmed cases( more than 2 weeks ago 895)
• 49 active cases(5 less than 2 weeks ago)
• 2 active cases hospitalized(1 more hospitalized, and one died Sept. 23rd)
• 913 recovered cases(81 recovered in the last 15 days)
• 10 deaths total since the beginning of the pandemic (2 more deaths in the last 2 weeks)
