On Wednesday, March 24th, and Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 the Tooele Heath Department had two free Clinics in Wendover at the Community Center, inoculating people for the COVID Vaccine, free of charge. It was by appointment, we don’t know if they accepted walk-in.

Many locals did receive the vaccine, and everybody from the Clinic were very nice and professional.

Lucia Benitez/Torres was the person from Wendover to contact, and she was extremely helpful. Many people got vaccinated because of her hard work.

On the day of the vaccination, when you arrived, you were directed to a desk, where with your name, you were handed a page to fill out. Then to a different table, they checked your allergies etc… then they directed you to the main room to be vaccinated, but first a young woman in the doorway checked for your paper work again, then let you through.

There a nurse made you sit down, then after you pulled up your sleeve of the arm of your choice, gave you the vaccine, then with a little bandaid, you sat for fifteen minutes to make sure no bad symptoms incurred, then you were done.         Only one dose for that clinic, the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine given there doesn’t need a second shot (and for us there were no bad side effects, only very mild ones like sore arm and fatigue).
