Last March 19, 2021 at around midnight, West Wendover Police officers responded to a report of lewdness call from the Peppermill Casino. Officers arrived and they contacted the suspect who they identified as 29-year-old adult male Adrian Serrano. Serrano had entered a woman’s bathroom and pulled down his pants. When the officers asked Serrano for his identification, he provided them with a Visa Credit Card instead. When they asked Serrano what his name and date of birth was, he refused to provide either but then stated to the officers his name was three to life and he was 29 years old. When finally Serrano ended up providing his identification, the officers ran his information. Serrano had an active warrant for his arrest from Nevada Parole and Probation. The officers attempted to place Serrano in handcuffs at which Serrano pulled away and attempted to the fight with the Officers. Serrano was told multiple times to stop resisting and place his hands behind his back. Serrano continued to fight at which time a taser was deployed. Serrano kept resisting the Officers as they kept trying to get his hands behind his back. Once the Officers secured Serrano’s hands into handcuffs, he was escorted out to the patrol cars. As the Officers escorted Serrano to the patrol car he was advised to get in the back of the car and Serrano dropped his body weight to the ground and continued to resist. Officers were able to secure Serrano into the back of the patrol car and then he was transported to the West Wendover Police Department and then to the Elko County Jail. While Serrano was en route to the Elko County Jail, he undid his seatbelt and wrapped it around his neck in a possible attempt to harm himself. Serrano was arrested on criminal charges as follows, N.R.S. 197.190 resisting arrest and obstruction, N.R.S. 201.010 disturbing the peace and Serrano had a mental health hold placed on him.
