On Sunday, March 21, 2021 at around 9 am in the morning, West Wendover Police officers were conducting a traffic stop. They checked a vehicle for failing to stop at the marked four way stop sign at the intersection of Wendover Blvd. and Florence Way. The officers addressed the driver along with the two other occupants. The driver was identified as a27 year old woman, Charlotte Froncak-Ruiz, the front passenger was a 38 year old man, Jared Ogden and the rear passenger was a 43 year old man, Jeremy Stewart. The officers noticed furtive movement, reaching around and in pockets by all three occupants. The officers requested all occupants to get out of the car. They then saw Froncak-Ruiz attempt to conceal a hypodermic needle into the seat and a clear pipe with crystal residue to be used for Methamphetamine. Jared Ogden gave consent to the Officers to also search him and they found less then 1 gram of Methamphetamine and a loaded hypodermic needle. The West Wendover officers got also consent from Stewart to search his person. Stewart admitted to the officers of having drugs on him. During the search of Stewart, they then found used hypodermic needles, 132 grams of Methamphetamine and less than 1 gram of heroin. Froncak-Ruiz was found in possession of a clear container containing two baggies of Methamphetamine one weighing 4.3 grams and the second weighing 4.9 grams. Froncak-Ruiz also had a suspended driver’s license.
