West Wendover Wolverine Boy’s soccer played a great game last Thursday, beating the White Pine high school’s team with three to zero, capping off their great season. This win puts the boy’s team in first place in their division going into state playoffs. The playoffs will be against the Yerington team at Yerington on Friday, November 6, at 7:00 PM. The boy’s soccer player of the week is Luis Hernandez.
The girl’s soccer season finished with a three to one loss last week on Thursday against White Pine. While their season is over, it was still great with many wins. The girl’s soccer player of the week is Maria Estrada.
Cross Country did a great job this weekend, taking second place overall. They had lost by only one point to Meadows, however. They will run at the state championships as a team on Saturday in Reno. The cross country athlete of the week is Trevor Hansen.
The varsity football looks to do well at playoffs this Friday on November 6 in Yerington. The football player of the week is Lisandro Rojas
