The West Wendover Police and the Elko Sheriff department are still looking for the robber of last month. In effect, Mid-January, a man entered the Wendover Nugget Casino at midday and robbed the sports book by brandishing a firearm at the employee. The man took an undisclosed amount of money.
The Police description from the employee statement of this suspect is that he is a white adult man, between 5’8” to 5’10” in height, about 150 lbs to 160lbs, of medium built, probably in his mid 30’s to 40’s, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, tan shoes, Green Bay Packers ball cap with the “G” logo on the front of the hat. He was also wearing fake long hair and probably fake facial hair like a beard. The suspect was armed when he confronted the sports book employee with a pistol. He was seen arriving in a unknown make/model light colored sedan. He fled the scene in the same car going south on 100 East in Wendover Utah.
