On March 29th 2018 during the early morning hours, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle acting suspicious in Wells. The two occupants of the vehicle originally gave the Deputy false information as to their identity. Once the individuals’ real identities were determined it was learned that both occupants had warrants out of Idaho.

The female passenger was searched subsequent to the arrest and was found to be in possession of a lock box. The lock box contained several bags of suspected narcotics. Further investigation revealed the box contained 7 bags of suspected heroin equaling a total weight of 62 grams, 4 bags of suspected methamphetamine equaling a total weight of 41.7 grams, hypodermic needles, digital scale, and 5 sheets of copies of U.S. currency (each sheet containing copies of three (3) $20.00 dollar bills and one (1) five dollar bill).

The suspected narcotics were field tested and presumptively tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine.

The subjects were arrested and are being held at the Elko County Jail.
