Damned Yazdis!!

We don’t like Mormons.

There we said it.

We also don’t like Jews, Catholics, Muslims and atheists.

In fact there is not a group of people we do like because we have never met a group of people.

We have met individuals, some we like, some we don’t like and most we forget within five minutes of meeting them.

Our web page is blistering with comments most of them we haven’t published about the religion of declared JP candidate Brian Boatman.

Never knew he was Mormon until he told us.

We could care less.

But to some people it seems to be a big deal.

Kind of weird if you think about it.

There is a word for someone who makes an assumption about someone else based  only on what church he goes or does not go to.

That word is bigot.

We hate bigots, we don’t care which church they go to because above all else bigotry is lazy.

Instead of really thinking about why one hates someone else, bigots find a convenient label, mentally slap it on their subject and go about their business of hating.

In Wendover it is easy to hate Mormons because there are a lot of them which must be appealing to bigots even other bigots find lazy.

A bigot with any gumption would hate say Maronite Catholics or Alevi Muslims or Manacheans if there were any Manacheans still around. That would of course mean cracking a book or two and perhaps learning another language.

Our personal favorite are the Yazdis.

Boy do we hate them, no particular reason mind you except they have peacocks running around their temples and peacocks can be annoying.

Okay that is silly and stupid.

Makes about as much sense as hating a Mormon doesn’t it?
