Sadly last Tuesday, January 19, 33-year-old Elizabeth Nancy Lopez of Ely, Nevada succumbed from her car crash injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.(photo credit Nevada Highway Patrol)
Last Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at approximately 7:30 in the evening, Nevada Highway patrol Troopers responded to a fatal crash on US-6 near mile marker 17 in White Pine County, west of Ely.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup was traveling westbound on US-6. For unknown reasons, the driver allowed the pickup to travel off the highway. The driver over-corrected, causing the pickup to overturn multiple times. The unrestrained driver was ejected.
Unfortunately, the young lady driver succumbed from her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was identified as 33-year-old Elizabeth Nancy Lopez of Ely, Nevada.
The investigation is being handled by the Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely district.
