              A Wendover, Utah man was killed Friday night after he lost control of his ATV and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Wendover Police Department.

     Police says that Friday, April 2nd, around 8:30 p.m., 47-year-old Augustin Perez was riding an ATV on a dirt trail near Scobie Drive and 1st Street, about 500 feet from the border with West Wendover, Nev. 

      Also, on April 6th,2021 at 12:30 pm, the Wendover Police Department conducted an investigation of a telephone threat to the Head Start preschool in Wendover, Utah. Wendover Police were assisted by the West Wendover Police to investigate the threat. The Wendover Police evacuated the Wendover Head Start preschool while the building was being searched. As a precaution, the Wendover High School and Anna Smith Elementary School was placed on lockdown during the investigation. Wendover Police later determined the threat was unfounded and the lockdowns were lifted. The investigation of the incident is still ongoing.
