Last Wednesday, August 18, 2021 the Wendover Prevention Youth Group unveiled a mural that they worked on for about two full weeks. The Mural says “Two Cities One Community” and depict both towns of West Wendover Nevada and Wendover Utah being one community. Together with “Wendover Will” (NV) on the left and the WW2 Bomber plane for the Wendover Airport(UT) and the speed car (Bonneville Salts UT) on the right. “Two Cities One Community” is also the moto of the Wendover Prevention Group.
Alyssa Lobato, Wendover Prevention Specialist in charge of the group, helped them on the planning of it. And Fawn Neaman, one of the students had won at unanimity the best design for it(she maid 3 designs) and so everybody painted that design. Some local artists together with High School teacher, Mrs. Schulz, helped too.
Many came to the unveiling, and the speakers were the two mayors( Mayor Daniel Corona and Mayor Mike Crawford), Kenneth Quirk(Wendover Director of Public Safety) and a few more. Presents also were a few city council people, school staff, recreation district personnel, three new LDS Church missionaries etc…
