Sometime around August 16, Andrew Hooge and a friend stayed at the Rainbow Casino in Wendover. On August 17, they left their room and went to the Nugget Casino. Then Andrew Hooge wanted to go to his room after checking out to retrieve some of his belonging. But in the meantime the hotel employees had clear the room and found some drug paraphernalia so they had called local police, WWPD. Officers arrived in time to talk to Hooge and run his name in their computer, realizing that he had violated his parole out of Utah Parole and Probation. He was taken into West Wendover custody, taken to the Elko County Jail because of extra drug charges, were the Utah police Department took custody of him.
