At the West Wendover City Council of May 2nd, 2023, the Wendover Prevention Group presented a Youth Recognition Award to Darian Ott and Ryker Carter, two West Wendover young men.
Ryker Carter: Ryker was selected to attend an all-state band. He puts in lots of work to be successful and help those around him be successful. He is currently the student body president and works to build those around him by encouraging them to be better. Ryker is always willing to lend a hand and is committed to making the community better. He has been involved in the youth coalition and talks frequently about the negatives of underage drinking and vaping. He is deserving of this recognition.
Darian Ott: Darian was selected for his exceptional kindness and selflessness. As a cashier at Smiths, Darian consistently goes above and beyond, offering to assist with groceries and brightening customers’ days with his friendly demeanor and engaging conversation. He radiates positivity and joy, spreading happiness wherever he goes.
