Chief Deputy County Clerk Nichole Baldwin declared her candidacy to replace retiring Lin Burleigh for next year’s election.
“I have been a resident of Ely for 11 years and truly love everything about my community. I’ve worked for the Clerk’s Office for over 6 years and endured 3 different bosses in that time, each of which taught me valuable lessons about what it takes to be an effective leader while maintaining a professional and ethical standard.” Baldwin wrote on her campaign page. “I was promoted to Chief Deputy Clerk 3 years ago and have experienced exponential growth in my knowledge and experience in all facets of the County Clerk’s Office. I’ve attended several trainings and have worked closely with the various State, Federal, and local agencies, as well as the different levels of the judicial sector that directly affect the daily operations of the District Court, elections, and County Clerk’s Offices across the state. Together with my Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Business Management, I am a competent and educated candidate for this position.”
In addition to her job at the courthouse Baldwin played an active role in organizing several community projects including as one of the leaders for the Ely Swimming Pool.
