Nichole Larson of Ruby Mountain Pawn and one of the Live Rude Girls takes the Ice Water challenge in a unique and very frigid way to raise money for fighting cancer.
“It was started as a way to get people donate to their favorite charity.” explained Ruby Mt. pawn owner Jeni-Lei Powell. “I had seen the challenge and always seen that people preferred to dunk themselves instead of donate. The first to mention donating to the LIVE RUDE GIRLS was Brandi Sandstrom manager of Goldies who has helped with our fundraising in the past.”
“If you have ever done a polar plunge you know how ice cold water takes your breath away. If you have ever been told you have cancer you know how hard it is to breath.” she added. “If you have ever been diagnosed with cancer you know those chills never leave you. Now think about finding a lump or being diagnosed and not having insurance or finances enough to pay for a mammogram or the next doctors visit or the medicine to give you a chance at a little more life. “
We greatly appreciate those who have taken the challenge and called on others because it brings awareness.” Powell continued. “We are also greatfull for those who donate to ending the fight on cancer. As LIVE RUDE GIRLS we know that cancer doesn’t rest so we will not surrender, we will reload and continue to volunteer for those things near and dear to our hearts.”
