Twenty-six aircraft participated in the Hayward Air Rally as it stopped in Wendover last Thursday. The Wendover stop was the third for the Rally which ended in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Members of the 88th Bomber Squadron, Civil Air Patrol marshaled the aircraft as they landed. Cadets assisted pilots and passengers prepare for the day in Wendover.
On Friday, at a breakfast meeting Cadet Chief Master Sergeant Enrique Trujillo was presented with a scholarship to the Air Academy in Oshkosh. He leaves for the all-expenses 8-day trip on 1 August. The pilots once again met at the airfield where the Cadet Color Guard presented the flag. Following the presentation, the planes lined up for the departure.
Who are the adult leaders for the Wendover civil air patrol? They must be doing a pretty good job for all of the publicity and good things that are happening with that group there.
