Wells Rural Electric Co. owners in the Wendover area will experience an overnight power outage beginning late on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) will be performing maintenance at their substations that energize WREC’s power lines. As your energy expert, WREC’s mission is to provide owners with reliable, cost-based electricity and BPA’s planned maintenance will help us continue to meet that standard.
The outage will start at 10 p.m. on Oct. 7 and power is scheduled to be back on at 6 a.m. on Oct. 8. This outage will provide BPA crews with a window to perform necessary breaker maintenance at the Bridge and Minidoka substations. This maintenance will ensure the stability of the electric service WREC receives and help avoid longer, unplanned outages in the future.
