February 25 2015, Heather Carpenter 30, El Dorado California and Nathan Reed 23 also from El Dorado California were taken into custody at the Peppermill casino. Reed was being sought by officers after he used a credit card at a local gas station that was allegedly reported as stolen. Reed left the station when the transaction could not be completed and prior to the clerk being able to summon police. A description of Reed was obtained and with the assistance of casino surveillance staff he was located at the Peppermill casino with a female (Carpenter). Both Reed and Carpenter had warrants issued for their arrest. Carpenter had a warrant from Washoe County charging her with battery on an officer. Reed had a warrant for a traffic violation issued through Nevada Highway Patrol. Reed was also charged with unlawful use and possession of the stolen credit card.
February 26 2015, Rene Ramirez (AKA Rene Chavez), 23, Wendover Utah was taken into custody for domestic battery, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. Officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic problem. Upon arrival the victim was located and interviewed. It was alleged that Rene Ramirez had entered his former girl friends residence and attacked her. Ramirez had a knife and made threats toward the victim. Another family member of the victim had returned home during this incident which caused Ramirez to flee. Ramirez was later located and taken into custody without incident. Minor injuries were observed on the parties involved, none of which needed further medical treatment.
February 26 2015, Jose Gonsales, 23, West Wendover Nevada. Gonsales was taken into custody with two arrest warrants, both charging domestic violence.
February 26 2015, Karen Jones 45 of Layton Utah was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. Jones was stopped by officers who witnessed traffic violations on Wendover Boulevard. During the contact with Jones officers suspected that she might be operating the vehicle while under the influence. Field sobriety testing was completed which resulted in Jones being taken into custody for the suspicion of driving under the influence.
February 27 2015 Shane McCook, 40, of Fort Duschene Utah was taken into custody while at the Red Garter casino on a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for failure to appear for an arraignment issued from the West Wendover municipal court. McCook apparently had been drinking heavily within the casino and garnered security officers attention as an unruly guest. Security officers summoned for police assistance, at which time it was found that McCook had the warrant for his arrest.
March 01 2015, Jordan Finck, 26 of Roy Utah was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. An officer witnesses traffic violations committed by Finck on Wendover Boulevard. During the contact the officer became suspicious that Finck may be operating the vehicle while under the influence. Field sobriety testing was conducted which resulted in Finck being taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
